AI Firewall + Atlas Vector Search: try it today
Last week, I had the privilege of joining Lena Smart, CISO of MongoDB, onstage at their user conference in London for an exciting announcement – our technology partnership in AI security.
Lena and I have a shared goal: to make it simple for our customers to use generative AI securely. Today, most companies are actively experimenting with generative AI, but a lack of confidence in models’ security, ethical, and operational controls is blocking the release of production applications. This concern is exacerbated when sensitive company information is used to enrich pre-trained large language models (LLMs) in order to increase the relevance to the end user.
Protecting models and data is an AI security challenge that Robust Intelligence and MongoDB are well suited to solve. We’ve integrated our AI Firewall, which validates model inputs and outputs in real time, with MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, which can serve as a fact database. This enables customers to safely use any commercial or open-source LLM for retrieval-augmented generation, providing real-time protection against prompt injection, PII extraction, hallucination, and many other risks.
The integration will also allow customers to pass AI Firewall logs to MongoDB. This historical data can be used to identify advanced security attacks that often manifest across a cluster of data points as opposed to a single data point, such as data poisoning and model extraction.
